What is SETHRA Public Transit?

The curb-to-curb rural public transportation service of the Southeast Tennessee Human Resource Agency. The service is provided by regular and lift equipped vehicles in 9 Southeast Tennessee Counties. SETHRA Public Transit is a public, not-for-profit agency.

Who can ride?

Anyone can ride. Service is open to the general public on a first come, first serve basis. Those riders who do not meet our Rider Eligibility Requirements will require an escort or personal care attendant (PCA), these attendants are not charged a fare. SETHRA does not supply attendants. To assist with meeting the needs of our clients, SETHRA’s fleet is over 80% accessible or ramp/lift equipped.

How can I schedule a ride?

Please call your local SETHRA office to schedule rides. Rides are scheduled first come, first served as schedule permits. We request a 24-hour notice for in-county trips and a 72-hour notice for out-of-county trips. Making advance reservations is necessary so we can accommodate as many requests as possible.

What is the schedule?

SETHRA Public Transit operates curb-to-curb rural public transportation; we do not operate any fixed route services. SETHRA schedules change daily; please call the local county office for any schedule information. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; operating hours are Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Please be ready to go, our Drivers can only wait 5 minutes due to scheduled route.
